The Mississippi Behavioral Health Learning Network
The MSBHLN was established by the Mississippi Public Health Institute (MSPHI) in 2017 in tandem with the Mississippi State Department of Mental Health Bureau of Alcohol and Drug Services (MSDMH BADS) to provide professional and workforce development to behavioral health providers throughout Mississippi. The organization’s mission is to provide evidence-based, relevant and effective training and professional development opportunities.
Peer Recovery Center of Excellence
Recommended by the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), the Peer Recovery Center of Excellence is a peer-led national center dedicated to providing training and technical assistance with regard to substance use disorder recovery. The Center is a valuable resource to individuals & organizations in its work to advance the successful implementation of the peer support model of recovery in an array of settings.
National Institute on Drug Abuse Training
The Office of Research Training, Diversity, and Disparities (ORTDD) of the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute on Drug Abuse offers a wide range of research programs, grant workshops, and funding opportunities to support the nation’s need for substance use and addiction research scientists. ORTDD is committed to the development of a truly cutting-edge and diverse research workforce to address urgent public health substance use and addiction problems.
U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency Resources
Administered by the DEA, Get Smart About Drugs is an online resource for parents, educators & caregivers. The site features a wealth of useful information, including DEA publications, news, helpful articles, and much more.
